This policy covers BinauralFlow: Brainwave Music (BinauralFlow), the Global Android application published by HarmonicSens AI Technologies (HK) Limited, package com.binaural.shifter. Contact: support@hsensai.com.
Your own audio files are played and processed on your device. No BinauralFlow account is required and the app contains no advertising. Purchases and subscriptions are managed through Google Play and RevenueCat. Those services process purchase records and related identifiers for access management and purchase analytics. Catalogue requests and optional downloads use our content delivery network. Trial continuity can use Google Play services Block Store.
We do not upload your own music or measure your brain activity. We do not ask you to provide a name or email to use the player. If you choose to contact support, we receive the information you include in your message and use it to respond.
To play your music, the app requests permission to read audio files stored on your device
(READ_MEDIA_AUDIO on Android 13+, or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older versions).
This access is used solely to play those files on your device. The app does not upload,
copy, transmit, index in the cloud, or otherwise share your audio files or their contents. The audio
never leaves your device.
The app connects to a Cloudflare-hosted content delivery service to fetch the available catalogue and download audio and artwork you select. As part of delivering those requests, the provider receives technical request information, including your IP address. We use the service to deliver and protect the collection library. Local music files and downloaded collections play offline.
BinauralFlow offers a 10-day free trial (no payment details required), after which a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase is needed to keep using the app. Payments are made through Google Play; we never see or store your card or payment details.
You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions. Purchase records are kept by Google Play and RevenueCat for as long as needed to provide the purchase and to meet tax and accounting obligations.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK): keeps audio
playing while the screen is off and shows playback controls in your notification shade and lock
screen.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC): keeps a
music-collection download that you started running if you leave the app, and shows its
progress. It stops as soon as the download finishes or you cancel it, and it only ever
downloads the public collection files described in §4 — it never uploads anything.WAKE_LOCK): prevents the processor from sleeping during
screen-off playback so audio does not stutter.POST_NOTIFICATIONS, Android 13+, only if you allow it):
displays the ongoing playback notification with its transport controls, and download progress.com.android.vending.BILLING): lets you buy a
subscription or lifetime unlock through Google Play (§5).INTERNET,
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): used to download the optional music collections described in
§4 and to verify purchases (§5).None of these permissions are used to track you or to collect data beyond what is described above.
We do not sell or rent personal data. We use service providers that process purchase information on our behalf — Google Play and RevenueCat (§5) — and our content delivery network (Cloudflare) for collection downloads (§4).
The app is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support so we can review the request and take appropriate action.
Purchase records are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and held by Google Play and RevenueCat as described in §5. Support correspondence and technical delivery records may also be processed for the purposes described above. We retain records for as long as necessary to provide the relevant service, resolve support requests, maintain security or meet legal obligations. Any app settings (such as your saved presets or "Journeys"), plus any music collections you've downloaded per §4, are stored only in the app's local storage on your own device and are removed if you uninstall the app. The trial-continuity record in Google Play services may persist separately.
You can revoke the app's audio-file permission at any time in your device's Settings → Apps → BinauralFlow → Permissions. Uninstalling the app removes all of its local settings from your device; it does not cancel a subscription (cancel in Google Play). To ask for deletion of purchase records associated with your anonymous app-user ID, contact us (§13).
BinauralFlow is an audio, wellness and productivity app. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. It does not provide medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before using audio-based relaxation techniques if you have epilepsy, a seizure disorder, a pacemaker, or any other medical condition. The optional "40 Hz light" in Cognitive Renewal flashes the dial and is off until you enable it; do not enable it if you have epilepsy, a history of seizures or are sensitive to flashing light.
If the app's data practices change in a future version (for example, if optional analytics or an account feature is added), this policy will be updated and the effective date above will be revised. The published policy will be updated to reflect the applicable app practices.
